Clarifying Clay

The summer heat can intensify oily skin and make your complexion look greasy. Even ordinarily dry skin might have some oil or dirt-induced blackheads. This deeply clarifying mask is your saving grace to reveal a clear face. Bentonite clay is seriously detoxifying and draws the toxins out of your pores, leaving you with toned and tightened clear skin.

  • 1 tablespoon bentonite clay powder
  • 2 tablespoons purified water

Preparation and Application

Simply add the bentonite clay to the purified water. Stir the ingredients until you have a smooth paste. Apply over your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 15 minutes, until it dries and feels slightly tight. Rinse off with warm water and splash cold water on your face afterward to seal the pores.

Honey Healing Clay

This is a unique multipurpose mask. The honey is an incredible moisturizer, and the bentonite clay is a de-toxifier.

1 tablespoon each of bentonite clay, Apple cider vinegar, Raw white Honey

Preparation and Application

Mix bentonite clay with apple cider vinegar until you have a thin paste. Add the raw white honey to this luxurious mask. Apply over your face, avoiding the eye area. Allow to dry on your skin for 15 minutes. Rinse gently with warm water. Your skin may have a pinking tint for up to an hour after you have rinsed off this mask. This is normal and will fade, revealing deeply cleansed, taut skin.

Lavender Toning Mist

Lavender oil is a natural facial recipes for healing acne-prone skin. This It’s also refreshing as a mister with a delightful aroma.

  • ½ cup purified water
  • 5–7 drops lavender essential oil

Preparation and Application

Fill a spray bottle with the purified water, and add the lavender essential oil. You have just made a great summer misting toner with moisturizing properties. Generously mist your face after your typical cleansing routine.

Green Tea Mask

Green tea is beneficial to our skin for its antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Vitamin C is critical for collagen synthesis, maintaining the skin’s elasticity and improving overall texture. Vitamin C capsules can be found at your local health food market.

  • 2 green tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons green tea clay
  • 3 vitamin C capsules

Preparation and Application

In a tea kettle filled with water, steep the bags of green tea until the kettle whistles. Pour ½ cup of the steeped green tea into a small bowl. Add green tea clay and stir with a tongue depressor until you have a smooth paste. Lastly, open the vitamin C capsules and pour into the mixture. Blend. Apply to skin with your fingertips, avoiding your eye area. Allow mask to dry until you feel a slight tightness or pulling. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Enjoy the skin-brightening benefits and the layer of protection from environmental toxins that you have just armed your skin with!

Yolk Facial

Egg yolks is one of the natural facial recipes which contain high levels of vitamin A, which is a key vitamin for calming down acne.

  • 2 eggs, yolks only
  • 2 tablespoons purified water

Preparation and Application

Crack the eggs, and separate the yolks from the egg whites by passing the yolk back and forth between the two half shells. Allow the egg whites to fall into a bowl and you will be left with the precious yolk. Save the bowl of egg whites for my Egg Protein Mask   for radiant hair! Add the purified water to your yolk and whip into a froth. Use a tongue depressor to apply to your entire face, avoiding the eye area. Perhaps you have only a couple of acne spots that appear inflamed with a whitehead. You still want to apply  over your  entire face because the yolks have the added benefit of reducing redness and returning an overall monochromatic look to your skin.
